Enjoy a night at the Madhouse on Madison rooting for the 3-time Stanley Cup winning Blackhawks team! Experience part of history in the making and enjoy knowing you were a part of it for a life time. The puck drops at 6pm on Sunday, January 15, against the Minnesota Wild. Tickets are limited to 5 per family at this time. Seats are located in section 308, rows 5-7, and section 307, rows 5 & 7. Tickets will be available to pick up at the Winfield Park District no later than Friday, January 13.

Mark your calendar and start thinking about the perfect dress for the Daddy Daughter Dance! Fathers and daughters will treasure this special night and have lots of fun. The night includes, music, dancing, pizza, snacks and dessert. Professional pictures are available at an additional cost.

Flashlight Egg Hunt

Come join us for an EGGciting time this year at the Winfield Park District's Flashlight Egg Hunt. Be sure to bring your flashlight because this egg hunt will be in the dark. The Easter Bunny has also dropped off "special" eggs that might just win you a valuable little door prize. Participants are reminded to bring their own flashlight and basket or bag to collect the eggs. NEW AGE CATEGORIES THIS YEAR--Please sign up for the appropriate age category and time.

Bunny Basket Deliveries

This year the Easter Bunny will make a personal appearance at your house! Imagine your child's surprise when the Easter Bunny brings an Easter basket filled with goodies right to their door. Deliveries are restricted to the Winfield Park District residents and the residents of the Village of Winfield.


Touch-A Truck day gives kids of all ages the chance to look at, touch, and climb through all kinds of real-life trucks that travel our roads and lands. Your child could find fire trucks, rescue trucks, dump trucks and more! Cameras are highly recommended. No registration required.


Compete for $2,500+ in prizes. On Sunday, September 13th, we will be hosting a duck race. At 10:00am, hundreds of yellow rubber ducks will be released into the DuPage River and will race downstream for a variety of prizes donated by local businesses. $150 will be awarded to the first place finisher. Other cash prizes may be available depending on final duck adoption numbers. Ducks can be adopted in flocks of 5 for $20 or individually for $5. Please stop by the park district to fill out a form or call for one to be mailed. Ducks may also be purchased at the information booth during Good Old Days.


It's time again for dancing in the street! Bring your friends down to the Winfield train station commuter lot and dance the night away with DJ Funky Stuff (the dance will be supervised). Please note: this dance is only for 6th-9th graders. If any of the supervisors believe a participant is not an appropriate age, a school ID will need to be shown as proof of age.


Step right up! Be a winner at the Winfield Park District's Good Old Days Coin Carnival. Try your luck at games of skill and chance to win various special prizes. Sorry, no adults will be allowed to play the games.


It's park district days at Six Flags Great America from July 4th through July 12th! Discounted tickets can be purchased at the Charles R. Beggs Activity Center. Gather friends and family and enjoy a day at the park!

Turkey Shoot

Shoot for this year's Thanksgiving Dinner in the park district's 19th annual Free Throw shooting contest. First place winners in each age group will win an actual frozen turkey. Other prizes, including ribbons and candy bags for younger kids will also be awarded. Adjustments will be made in the distance and height of the basket for the younger kid's age divisions.

Stocking Deliveries

This year Santa is making a special trip from the North Pole to make a personal delivery at your home. Imagine your child's delight or a friend's surprise when jolly old Saint Nick brings a stocking full of goodies to the door. We will try to accommodate your time request; however, no guarantees will be made. Deliveries are restricted to Winfield Park District residents and residents of the city of Winfield only. Only one stocking per child allowed.

Polar Express

Put on your pajamas and climb aboard The Polar Express! The trip will include a train to the North Pole, a story telling of The Polar Express, a chance to see Santa, and lots of cookies and hot chocolate! The train leaves at approximately 3:15pm, so plan on arriving early. Refunds will not be given for missing the train. Boarding starts at the Jon Duerr Forest Preserve- a map will be mailed along with your tickets. Transportation to the forest preserve is not included. Train leaves at 3:15pm

Letter to Santa

When it's time to send that special letter, plan on mailing it to us. We will make sure that all letters are forwarded to Santa and have him answer them personally. Letters must be received no later than December 16th and must include a return address.
