Lions Park Renovation

The new soccer field and small playground is nearing completion. The project is expected to be completed by mid-October, 2022. The $630,000 project includes the installation of field turf for the 210' x 120' soccer field, sidewalk entryways, new sideline fencing, a small playground with swings and a rubberized PIP surfacing.  The turfed field will also be used for T-ball games/practices as the park site was previously used for by WIA. 

The playground area still has the large boulder and a new companion boulder too.   The far north end of the park site still includes a canoe launch for the DuPage River-West Branch and a small rain-garden. The northern park area appropriate for dog walking, not the newly turfed athletic field area.
