Summer Camp 2020

Wed May 27, 2020

Dear Camp Families,

Thank you for your patience as we have worked to create our new Summer Kids Program. IDPH and the DCEO have issued guidelines for Day Camp programs, and we are moving forward with starting the Summer Kids Program on Monday, June 15.  The Summer Kids Program will be held at the CRBAC Park District building in our program spaces, with the potential for additional program space to be secured if necessary.

As mentioned in the update email from May 18, the program will be a revised version of our typical Summer Camp programming. I have included the link to the guidelines outlined on the Illinois.gov website, and a detailed document has been attached to this email listing the changes that will occur specifically at our program this summer.

In addition to the guidelines and document outlining our updates, we wanted to highlight two important program changes for the Summer Kids Program. Due to the guidelines outlined by IDPH and the DCEO, flexible scheduling will not be available for the Summer Kids Program. All participants will need to be signed up for the entire week (Monday-Friday) in order to attend.

Another change for this summer is our ability to offer extended hours for Before/After Care for camp. The Summer Kids Program will still run from 9-4, while Before Care will be available from 8-9AM and After Care will be available from 4-5PM. We have updated pricing to reflect this change and will be offering these programs at $23 each for the week.

On June 1, another email will be sent out to our camp families with information regarding transferring your current camp registration into the new weekly Summer Kids Program. We will also be offering a few Zoom meeting dates for parents to ask questions and receive additional information about the Summer Kids Program. These dates and times will be included in the email on June 1.

We hope this information will help you make an informed decision about your summer program needs. Although we would love to run our typical Summer Camp program, we look forward to creating a fun and engaging program for our participants this summer.

If you have any further questions at this time, please don’t hesitate to contact me.

Thank you,
