Dog Park
In 2021, the Winfield Park District and Carol Stream Park District completed an Inter-Governmental Agreement (IGA) for use of the CSPD Bark Park located on the north side of North Ave (Rt 64), just east of County Farm Road. The IGA is a 5 year Agreement and it provides Winfield residents with resident rate access to the park for the same fee that CSPD residents pay.
This IGA is the result of months of review and public survey input, that searched out the best immediate solution for providing the WPD residents with a nearby Off-Leash park option. We realize that several of our residents will continue to utilize the Mack Rd park area offered through the Forest Preserve District of DuPage County.
Parking for the Bark Park is available at the closed down motel (Rt 64) or on the east side of the CSPD maintenance garage.
The cost of a membership for the Bark Park is $30. It can be purchased at either the Simkus Recreation Center, 849 W Lies Rd, Carol Stream or the Fountain View Recreation Center, 910 N Gary Ave, Carol Stream. In order to purchase a membership, WPD residents will need to show proof that their rabies vaccinations are current for their dog. WPD residents will not need to purchase a Village of Carol Stream Dog license.
