This facility features over 3,000 square feet of cardiovascular equipment and weight machines, dumbbells, curl bars, TRX Suspension training, and an aerobic room. Memberships include equipment orientation by appointment, gym access, free scheduled open gyms, locker facilities/showers, workout towels, and discounted fitness classes. We offer a variety of memberships for individuals and families for 1 month, 3 month, and 12 month periods as well as day passes.

WINFIT is now open for current members, new members, AND daily drop-ins. We remain committed to providing everyone with a safe fitness and recreation experience. In order to keep everyone safe and to be in compliance with the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity (DCEO) guidelines, WINFIT will be operating at 60% capacity with new guidelines and modified hours of operation. Open Gyms are not available at this time. Gymnasium use is available for MEMBERS ONLY when it is not being used by programs. No guest fees or daily drop-ins will be permitted to use the gymnasium.

Please take a moment and familiarize yourself with the new guidelines, wellness check, and new hours prior to visiting our facility so you know what to expect.

WINFIT Guidelines

  • Patrons must conduct a self-assessment for wellness daily before visiting our facility, and not attend if they are ill or exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19. If a patron has symptoms, they must wait to enter the premises until they have no fever for 72 hours, other symptoms have improved, and at least 10 days have passed since their symptoms first appeared. Patrons must sign an agreement at their first visit that they will adhere to the daily self-check.
  • Patrons must check-in and check-out at the WINFIT desk in order to help keep our occupancy count correct.
  • Patrons must wear a face covering over their mouth and nose at ALL TIMES, even on the machines regardless of spacing and regardless of medical conditions unless they are FULLY vaccinated. Fully vaccinated individuals are not required to wear a face covering in the facility.
  • Patrons are asked to maintain 6ft distancing and utilize one-way entrances, exits, and walkways.
  • Locker and Shower facilities are now open during all hours of operation for WINFIT.
  • Maximum capacity is 20 people. You may want to call prior to coming to check for availability.
  • Patrons MUST clean and sanitize equipment (e.g. free weights, cardio/weight machines, and all miscellaneous equipment) before AND after each use with provided disinfectant wipes. Disinfectant wipes are available throughout the facility.
  • Equipment should not be shared between patrons at the same time unless they are from the same household.
  • Patrons may be asked to keep their workout time limited to 90 minutes during busier times in order to accommodate all our members.
  • The gymnasium is available to WINFIT members only when other programming is not utilizing the space.

We care about you and your health! Please be respectful of staff and fellow patrons at all times. Failure to follow guidelines and staff directives set forth will result in suspension of your membership privileges until further notice.

The Park District may change and update guidelines at anytime as new regulations are implemented. We will keep everyone updated as changes are made.

Wellness Self-Check

The Winfield Park District is committed to the safety of employees, patrons, and community, including during the COVID-19 pandemic. All patrons are required to perform a self-check daily prior to visiting our facility. Any patron with positive symptoms (answering "yes" to any question) should not visit any park district facility or take part in any park district activities until they have no fever for 72 hours, other symptoms have improved, and at least 10 days have passed since their symptoms first appeared.

  • Have you tested positive for COVID-19 in the last 14 days?
  • Have you had close contact with someone who has symptoms of or has tested positive for COVID-19 within the past 14 days?
  • Do you have a fever of 100.4 degrees or higher, chills, and /or muscle aches?
  • Do you have a cough, sore throat, and/or runny nose?
  • Do you have a new or unusual headache?
  • Do you have any nausea, vomiting, and/or diarrhea?
  • Have you been experiencing difficulty breathing or shortness of breath?
  • Have you noticed a new loss of taste or smell?

By coming to the WINFIT Family Fitness Center, you acknowledge that you have in fact conducted this wellness self-check and can truthfully answer no to all questions.
